ABOUT ME

Founder of NeuroVibes

Welcome to NeuroVibes!

I am Irene Chiandetti

Hey there!

I'm Irene, a 16-year-old from Italy with a deep curiosity about the brain.

My journey into neuroscience began when my grandma was diagnosed with dementia. Wanting to understand what was happening to her, I started reading and researching — and I was instantly captivated: neuroscience felt like an intricate maze where every turn revealed a new secret about how our minds work.

In my free time, I love playing the piano. Music and science are two of my biggest passions, and I’ve found they often go hand in hand in the most surprising ways!

THE IDEA BEHIND NEUROVIBES

"Wonder is the beginning of wisdom"

This quote, presumably from Socrates, well captures why I started NeuroVibes: curiosity is always the first step.

Neuroscience has fascinated me since I was young — the brain’s complexity is simply incredible. Every single neuron plays a unique role, and together, they form the essence of who we are.

But neuroscience isn’t just a subject in a textbook. It’s the key to understanding why we think, feel, and behave the way we do. Exploring how the brain works is like unlocking the manual to our own potential.

That’s why I created NeuroVibes — to share this passion with others and help students (and curious minds of all ages) discover the wonders of the brain. My goal is to make neuroscience accessible, engaging, and a little less intimidating.

On NeuroVibes, you’ll find blog articles divided into thematic sections so you can dive into the topics that interest you most. A new article is published regularly, and you can subscribe to the newsletter to get updates straight to your inbox.

NeuroVibes isn’t meant to be a neuroscience encyclopedia — it’s a collection of fascinating insights, stories, and discoveries that I’ve gathered from research papers, scientific articles, and personal experiences. I’ve done my best to simplify complex ideas without losing their essence — so forgive me if you come across a few simplifications here and there!

I hope NeuroVibes sparks your curiosity and helps you see just how extraordinary our brains really are.

Thanks for stopping by,

Irene
